Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Cookies

These cookies are so good I just had to share the recipe.


Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Cookies

Cream Together:

1 1/2 cup shortening
4 1/2 cups suger

Stir in:

3 eggs
3 teas. Vanilla
Sift together and add
7 1/2 cups flour
3 teas. baking powder
3 teas. baking soda
1 1/2 teas. salt
3 teas. nutmeg
3 teas. cinnamon
Stir in:

1 Large (29 oz. ) can pumpkin
1 package chocolate chips (more or less to taste)

Bake on sprayed cookie sheets for 10 minutes @ 375. Let cool and frost with Cream cheese frosting and sprinkles. Makes at least 9 dozen cookies!

I don't like pumpkin all that much but I can not stop eating these cookies- they are that good. They only get made once a year but I love that once!
